Assist in the delivery of services to applicants applying for social housing and supported accommodation. The postholder will be involved in the assessment of applications for housing; following appropriate training and deal with customers in housing need on a daily basis. This will involve providing them with available housing options, signposting to relevant services and giving outcomes on their housing applications.
The postholder will also be responsible for answering telephone and e-mail enquiries, relating to housing and providing administrative support to other members of the team, such as minute taking.
Tasks that will be undertaken within this role are:
- Updating of systems
- Responding to simple queries via telephone or email
- Processing of housing applications
- Minute taking
- Liaison with key partners to assist applicants with re-housing
- Logging of applications for supported housing
- Any other tasks as required
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
