Data Quality and Claims Monitoring Officer
We have an exciting opportunity to be grabbed by very keen, well organised, meticulous and highly motivated achiever either working in the field of Payment by Results (PBR) or with appropriate transferable skills and experience. The post will sit within the Council’s Early Help Transformation Team which is responsible for Medway’s element of the national Troubled Families (TF) Programme. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/financial-framework-for-the-troubled-families-programme-january-2018-onwards The post is needed until July 2020, and will deal with historic and future potential claims.
The role will involve identifying cases that qualify for PBR under that programme and associated work to evidence the necessary progress made in each. This will involve analysis of casework and liaison with case working colleagues and will be supported by the data from our recently launched Early Help case management system.
The post holder will liaise closely with seconded colleagues from the local Department of Work and Pensions Job Centre and internal Revenue and Benefits with regard to the Employment element of the programme.
Current policy and processes will need to be continually reviewed and developed to improve the Council’s chances of achieving PBR. This will be done in cooperation with the manager and other local stakeholders.
The post holder will be expected to fully understand the Early Help ethos in Medway identified within Medway’s Early Help Outcomes Plan 2015-2020, within which the TF programme is embedded. They will support the team to better advise partners managing the cases and will help to inform best practice and local training. They will also learn how to negotiate, influence and challenge partners to play their role in developing plans to ensure that the outcomes set against the identified needs of families are met.
